Our financial services client is seeking a Senior IT Application Support Analyst (5-10 years of experience) to build and migrate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions

Join a team supporting critical frontline banking applications and modernizing deployment automation across enterprise environments. This role focuses on CI/CD pipeline migration, application reliability engineering, incident response, and automation initiatives supporting branch and contact centre platforms. The position offers exposure to Azure, OpenShift, AIOps initiatives, and cloud-based application projects within a hybrid technology environment. This engagement supports high-impact application platforms with opportunities to work on emerging AI-driven initiatives and modern automation workflows.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, once per week (Wednesdays) , with an additional onsite requirement every third Friday of the month .

Must Haves

- 5-10 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Application Support environments.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, OpenShift (OCP), and containerized environments.
- Strong application support, incident management, and problem-solving experience.
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of file transfer protocols, networking fundamentals, and application security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Technical discipline or equivalent

Responsibilities

- Build and migrate CI/CD pipelines into a recent environment
- Manage and optimize automated application deployments across multiple environments
- Monitor system health, performance metrics, and alerts to identify and resolve issues
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis for application and infrastructure issues
- Define and maintain observability strategies for application behaviour and performance
- Support AIOps initiatives through automation and operational intelligence improvements
- Act as a point of escalation for production application issues and advanced troubleshooting
