This is a pivotal and exciting time in our journey, as we bring this life-changing technology to patients!In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience specifying, performing, and overseeing verification and validation activities on complex and leading‑edge medical devices. Your work in verification and validation will necessitate interactions with all parts of the company including design engineering, clinical research, field operations, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing. You will have an excellent opportunity to gain a broad and comprehensive understanding of medical device R&D, while performing detailed technical work.Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.Meaningful work you will be a part ofYou will engage in a diverse set of activities including some or all of the following:Plan and execute hands‑on testing activities to evaluate product performanceCharacterize manufacturing processes and assess process capability using design of experimentsValidate tests using statistical methods to assess repeatability, reproducibility, and accuracyAnalyze test data using Excel and MinitabAuthor protocols and reports to support regulatory submissions for new and existing productsInterpret and implement medical device standards and regulationsCollaborate with stakeholders to assess process or design changes and propose comprehensive test plansParticipate in root cause investigations,



corrective and preventive actionsDrive continuous improvement of company procedures as they pertain to verification and validationOccasionally design and fabricate test jigs and fixtures using Solidworks, CAMWorks, CNC mills, lathes, and other toolsWhat you bring to the teamOur Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about creating cutting‑edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. And we understand that only by working together can we solve the unsolvable.You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:Bachelor’s degree or higher engineering (mechanical, mechatronics or engineering physics is preferred)At least 3 years of testing and design experience in the medical device industry, or 5 years of hands‑on experience with mechanical/hardware product testingPractical knowledge of mechanical systems, experimental design, and statistical analysisExcellent collaboration and interpersonal skillsStrong written and technical documentation skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timelinessCompensationKardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.As a permanent employee,
