In this technical co-op role, you’ll contribute to research and development of porous polymer sorbents and metal-organic frameworks. Your responsibilities will include sorbent synthesis, characterization, experimental testing, and data analysis, as well as collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance sorbent capabilities. Effective communication of research findings through technical reports and presentations will be vital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct laboratory synthesis of porous polymer sorbents
• Analyze sorbent materials using FTIR, TGA, and PSD techniques
• Develop documentation of experimental results and findings
• Collaborate with teams to enhance sorbent applications
• Maintain laboratory organization and adhere to safety protocols
Requirements:
• In 3rd or 4th year of Chemistry, Materials Science, or related areas
• Minimum 8 months of lab experience and solid analytical skills
• Familiarity with material characterization and data interpretation
• Experience with organic synthesis and purification techniques
• Detail-oriented and adaptable to fast-paced research environments
