The role involves providing strategic legal advice on corporate, commercial, securities, compliance, and employment matters, supporting the company's operations across Canada and the U.S.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum of 8+ years of post-qualification experience at a recognized law firm or in-house.
- Active member in good standing of a law society in Canada.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from a recognized law school.
- Must possess valid working rights in Canada (no visa sponsorship available).
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Advise on complex legal matters and procurement agreements.
- Support continuous disclosure reporting, including annual information forms and financial statement reviews.
- Manage litigation, disputes, and regulatory risk mitigation.
- Assist with corporate governance, compliance with securities regulations, and corporate/commercial transactions (M&A;).
- Act as the primary legal contact for the Haile Gold Mine (USA).
Stipend, Compensation & Mode
Annual Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 (plus short-term and long-term bonuses).
