Intermediate Application Security Analyst - Penetration Testing Coordination

Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

Location: GTA

Our enterprise retail client is looking for an Intermediate Application Security Analyst to coordinate penetration testing engagements across internal technology teams and external security vendors.

The successful candidate will have a technical foundation in cybersecurity or IT combined with solid organization and coordination skills. This role does not perform penetration testing directly , but requires enough technical knowledge to understand testing requirements and keep engagements moving from intake through completion.

Must-Have Skills

- 1-3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, vulnerability management or a related technical IT/security role.
- Understanding of penetration testing, vulnerability management and application security concepts .
- Familiarity with web/application security concepts such as the OWASP Top 10 .
- Ability to understand technical testing requirements including application access, authentication, environments and testing scope .
- Strong organization and coordination skills , with the ability to manage multiple testing engagements and follow up across different teams.




- Strong communication skills working with technical teams and external vendors .

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience coordinating penetration testing or vulnerability assessment engagements .
- Exposure to Burp Suite, Veracode, Invicti or other application security/SAST/DAST tools .
- Familiarity with API security, authentication and authorization.
- Technical education in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field .

Responsibilities

- Coordinate penetration testing engagements between internal application teams and external security vendors.
- Ensure required access, environments, documentation and other prerequisites are ready before testing begins.
- Coordinate testing scope, schedules, dependencies and deliverables.
- Track active engagements, outstanding items and security findings through completion.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve blockers and keep testing on schedule.
- Ensure penetration testing activities follow internal security policies, standards and processes .
- Maintain documentation and provide status updates to security stakeholders.
