RDH Clinical Applications Analyst
The Meditech Clinical Application Analyst is an integral member of the Regional Digital Health (RDH) Clinical Informatics. As a member of the RDH lead agency team,theRDH Clinical Informatics teamhas a synergistic working relationship with areas and stakeholders across the four-hospitals they support, ensuring collaboration and striving to improve workflow with system optimization.
This challenging position seeks an individual who is self-directed, analytical, and organized to fill the role of Clinical Applications Analyst. This role involves working closely with internal programs and departments to determine business needs and the facilitation of effective solutions that are consistent with organizational goals and objectives. The role will support applications development, operations and maintenance of clinical and non-clinical systems as needed.
This position requires direct communication with all the Regional Digital Health Services teams, including the RVH Lead agency, RDH Service Desk staff, partner sites IT services desks, clinical staff, providers, functional experts, leaders, project managers, and other support personnel. As the Clinical Application Analyst, you will be proficient and expert in the modules you manage and support, and understanding of the complex integration between associated modules, associated applications, equipment, and workflows. This role provides applications support for the CARE4 partnership including RVH, CGMH, GBGH, HHCC during M-F regular hours and off-hours “on-call support” as required. Other key duties and skills required include:
Analysis of user-departmental workflow processes and ability to translate into systems-based efficiencies through automation.
Optimize application features and functionality to meet end-user requirements, create innovate solutions to resolve known problems or inefficiencies, and facilitate workflow processes.
Coordinate training and support departmental trainers for application(s) and provide training as required for Meditech systems.
You must have access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. You may be assigned to an alternate main site temporarily at the discretion of the CARE4 Partnership leadership and therefore willingness and flexibility to support the four hospitals organizational needs.
Education:
Undergraduate degree or diploma in a clinically related field, health informatics or computer science or equivalent, or an IT related field and/or three years’ experience in Clinical Informatics Meditech Support Rolerequired.
Experience:
Three-years application development and clinical support experience with hospital information system with an EMRpreferred
Experience and understanding of ITIL, Change Management and Project Management philosophies and methodologies
Experience working on Meditech system upgrades, and/or informatics projects and implementations
Experience with Mirth Integration and HL7/ XMLpreferred
Advanced use of Microsoft officepreferred
Experience with business analysis and requirements documentation is an asset
Experience with analyzing data to identify trends, gaps and information that can drive positive change
Strong understanding of privacy legislation and application to systems and technologies in Health Carean asset
Understanding of a risk matrix and risk mitigation strategies
Patient Access(Clerical, Registration, Community Wide Scheduling (CWS) and Health Information Management (HIM)) experience required
Microsoft Suite of Products, VMware, Windows Operating Systems, Biztalk, HL7 standardspreferred
Project Management & Change Management Certified preferred
Adult Teaching or Training certificatean asset
Excellent customer relations and support service preferred
Consistently display behaviour that enhances the image of organization as evidenced by professional and courteous behaviour toward all customers.
Evidence of on-going professional development
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
Excellent skill in problem recognition and problem solving, including critical incident management.

Experience working with highly integrated teams.
