MBM is seeking a Senior Patent Agent to enhance their team. With over eight years of experience in patent application drafting and prosecution, you'll leverage your technical knowledge in engineering or related fields. This role involves direct communication with clients and requires excellent analytical and writing skills to foster positive relationships and manage complex patent portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet with inventors to identify points of novelty
• Draft patent applications for domestic and international clients
• Respond to Office Actions and monitor IP portfolio activities
• Train and mentor junior patent agents
• Support client needs and team priorities as required
Requirements:
• Class 1 license as a Registered Canadian Patent Agent
• 8+ years in patent drafting and prosecution
• Advanced degree in relevant engineering fields
• Robust understanding of AI, cloud computing, and telecommunications
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
