About you
The Business Development Lead drives strategic growth for Altrad across Canada, leading business development, marketing, and client engagement for our Surface Treatment, Insulation, Fabrication, Scaffolding, Rope Access, and Access Solutions business lines. Working alongside senior leadership positions, this role executes growth strategies, builds strong client partnerships, and expands Altrad’s presence across the oil and gas, process, power generation, mining, and refinery sectors.

The Business Development Lead will play a key role that delivers market intelligence, maintains a robust pipeline of profitable opportunities, and supports long‑term business growth and strategic objectives. This role is ideally based at our Calgary Head Office location; however, remote arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Lead business development activities across assigned regions and market sectors throughout Canada, driving growth and expanding Altrad’s presence nationally.





Partner with senior management to develop and execute annual BD and growth strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and long‑term business plans.

Provide leadership and direction for commercial initiatives, supporting revenue growth, strategic pursuits, and sustainable market expansion.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, industry developments, and customer needs, and act as a trusted advisor by translating this intelligence into actionable insights that proactively position Altrad for emerging opportunities.

Maintain accurate records of sales opportunities, pipeline activity, and key customer information to support forecasting and strategic decision‑making.

Build strong collaboration with Operations, Estimating, Pre‑Contracts, Project Management, and Senior Leadership to maximize business opportunities and ensure seamless pursuit execution.

Identify new service offerings, target markets, and strategic partnerships that support diversification and long‑term growth.

Participate in strategic planning initiatives, contributing commercial insight and supporting the achievement of corporate goals.

Develop and execute BD and marketing strategies that strengthen brand awareness, support revenue targets, and expand Altrad’s footprint across Canada.

Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, including client presentations, case studies, capability statements, social media content, and promotional campaigns.

Represent Altrad at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, association meetings, and client forums,



strengthening visibility and market presence.

Develop strategic account plans and client engagement programs to deepen relationships, increase market share, and support long‑term customer retention.

Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients and decision‑makers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Maintain approved vendor status with strategic customers and industry stakeholders, ensuring compliance with qualification requirements.
