Position Overview The Key Account Manager (KAM) plays a critical role in managing strategic healthcare accounts (GPO), including CAG, Sante Quebec and other designated partners. This position is responsible for maximizing contract value, driving member adoption, and ensuring our solutions align with healthcare providers’ goals for cost efficiency, quality improvement, and patient outcomes. The KAM will develop multi-year strategic plans, foster executive relationships, and leverage data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities. Success requires collaboration across internal teams and healthcare stakeholders to deliver compliant, innovative solutions that improve care delivery.
Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Director of Sales or designate, the duties and responsibilities of the Key Account Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage the strategic relationships with CAG, Sante Quebec and key member accounts as the primary commercial contact.
Manage Acute key accounts and strategic accounts.
Develop and execute multi‑year strategic account plans to drive growth and contract adoption.
Lead the full contract life cycle, including participation in the RFP/RFI responses, negotiations, award, implementation, and renewals across the relevant product portfolio to maximize contract value and compliance.
Analyze GPO and member‑level data to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Align sales, clinical,
and distribution teams to ensure alignment on GPO strategies and pull-through messages.
Build strong executive‑level relationships to advance cost, quality, and clinical outcome objectives.
Lead regular business reviews to report on performance, compliance, and strategic priorities.
Support contracting processes, evaluations, trials, and participation in industry events.
Resolve escalated issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Maintain expert knowledge of assigned product categories, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
Ensure all account activities meet company policies, healthcare standards, and contractual requirements.
Deliver accurate reporting performance, forecasts, and key risks/opportunities.
Achieve assigned sales, compliance, and strategic objectives.
Qualifications University degree in a related field (business, life sciences, management) or equivalent industry experience.
3–5 years of experience in medical devices, diagnostics or healthcare distribution.
Valid driver’s license and passport, with the ability to travel as required.
Up-to-date immunizations as required by client sites or applicable law.
Knowledge and Skills Effective communication skills (written and verbal), with confidence in presentations and negotiations.
Proven ability to respond promptly and professionally to customer needs.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality, with strong organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
Comfortable in a fast-paced,
metric-driven workplace while maintaining excellent customer service and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Proven success managing healthcare accounts and/or GPO.
