The client is looking for an end-to-end testing manager who has actually defined the testing strategy for a transformation program themselves, not just someone who executed it. The latest version tightens this point: the role requires a QA lead who designs strategy, which rules out senior profiles who have only worked within frameworks defined by others. The position is still a leadership role: overseeing the strategy, planning validation waves, coordinating dependencies between teams and vendors, and producing progress and risk indicators for management. Salesforce is now seen as a plus, with the ecosystem still needing to be understood but without requiring development expertise. The multi-team, multi-vendor context puts coordination and influence with business and IT stakeholders at the core of the profile.
