Vice-Principals – Responsibilities

Leading school communities in alignment with the WCDSB Multi-Year Strategic Plan ()

Providing an encouraging and uplifting message to staff, student and families that provide healing and spark in alignment with the WCDSB Pastoral Plan ()

Fostering equity for all students and staff in alignment with the Equity Action Plan (

Utilizing innovation to improve student engagement and achievement

Minimum Requirements

Hold a current Certificate of Qualification with the Ontario College of Teachers (In good standing)

Completion of Part 1 of the Ontario Principal's Qualification Program (PQP) and completion of Part 2 of the PQP or commitment to complete Part 2 by June 25, 2027.

Hold a Religious Education Certificate, Part I or a Letter of Equivalency from OECTA Provincial/OCSTA

Five years of teaching experience

Development of a professional portfolio tied to the Catholic School Level Leadership Framework that demonstrates a transformation of lifelong learning experience(s) to teaching and learning practices.

Desirable Assets

A Masters' degree





Evidence of a transparent understanding of the purpose and nature of leadership experiences in a Catholic School and in a variety of other settings

Good knowledge of special education policies and procedures.
