As part of the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program, this role is essential for providing tailored nutritional support to at-risk Indigenous mothers. You will contribute to improving health outcomes for families living off-reserve, ensuring cultural relevance and community engagement in the program’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess nutritional needs of pregnant women
• Facilitate workshops and public education on nutrition
• Document progress and provide comprehensive reports
• Collaborate with not-for-profit and government agencies
• Advocate for Indigenous health needs in the community
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Work or Health Sciences
• Proficiency in MS Office and database applications
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Experience working with Indigenous communities
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
