Reporting to the Recreation Manager, the Recreation Aide plays a crucial role in planning and implementing programs that enhance residents' lives. This role requires excellent communication skills to maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff. You will assist with assessments and evaluation of activities while participating in team meetings to prioritize resident interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and executing recreational programs
• Maintain departmental records and evaluations
• Communicate effectively with residents, families,
and staff
• Facilitate outings for residents to enhance engagement
• Help assess individual activity levels and care needs
Requirements:
• College diploma in Recreation or Gerontology required
• Experience working with seniors essential
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Robust communication skills, both oral and written
• Valid driver's license for resident transportation
