Become integral to Douglas College as a Geography Laboratory Technician IV at our Current Westminster/Coquitlam Campus. Provide exceptional lab instruction and supportive client services while supervising students.

In this full-time position, you will leverage your Bachelor’s Degree in Geography to enhance student learning in the geography lab. Your expertise will shine in operating lab equipment and conveying complex geographic concepts effectively. Engage with students in an inspiring educational environment and uphold our commitment to outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide lab instruction and oversee student evaluations
• Prepare materials for geography laboratory sessions
• Maintain and operate laboratory and field equipment




• Engage students in geographic concepts and data analysis
• Ensure safety measures in all laboratory activities

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, preferably in Physical Geography
• Robust knowledge of lab and field equipment maintenance
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in geography software including MS Excel and ArcGIS
• Current drone pilot certificate is a valuable asset
