The Occupational Therapist I will be part of a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, respiratory therapy, and more. This role emphasizes evidence-based practices aimed at improving occupational performance and independence. You’ll engage with clients in both individual and group settings, providing tailored support for self-care, productivity, and leisure activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide triage, screening, and assessment of clients
• Collaborate with families in goal setting and rehabilitation
• Participate in interprofessional team quality improvement initiatives
• Mentor and supervise Therapy Assistants and students
• Engage in community education and programming
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registered with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• Solid organizational and communication skills
• Experience working with diverse client populations
• Ability to function independently in a busy environment
