Adecco is currently hiring a Buyer for a full-time opportunity within a manufacturing environment in Kanata, ON.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, ERP/MRP systems, and supply chain operations.
In this role, you will support both local and international operations by managing purchasing activities, optimizing supplier performance, driving cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring material availability to support production and business objectives.

Responsibilities: Procurement & Supplier Management Manage purchase orders, supplier follow-ups, and delivery schedules.
Maintain ERP/MRP data, including supplier, pricing, and inventory records.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Support supplier performance reviews, audits, and contract administration.
Supply Chain & Operations Ensure uninterrupted material supply to support production requirements.
Identify cost-saving, supplier consolidation, and inventory optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Operations teams to resolve supply issues.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain functions.
Reporting & Compliance Track purchasing, supplier, and operational KPIs.
Maintain compliance with procurement policies and quality standards.
Support supplier risk management and business continuity activities.
Analyze supplier and market data to improve sourcing decisions.
Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Agent, or Supply Chain role.
Experience in manufacturing, technical, electronics, IT equipment, or sheet metal purchasing environments.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement data management.
Knowledge of sourcing, supplier development, contract management, and supply chain processes.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with supplier auditing and risk management is considered an asset.
Robust communication and stakeholder management skills.
