Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Lead or support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules under US GAAP.

Analyze balance-sheet and income-statement variances.

Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Support external audits, including audit schedules and documentation requests.

Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new standards.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation requirements.

Partner with FP&A;, AP, AR, payroll, tax, and operational teams.

Improve close processes, reporting workflows, and accounting-system controls.

Mentor junior accounting staff where applicable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA designation or progress toward CPA is often preferred.

Typically 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Advanced Excel skills; reporting or BI-tool experience is an asset.

Robust analytical, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
