In this role, you'll support UBC's Department of Psychiatry under the supervision of Dr. John-Jose Nunez and collaborate with researchers across departments. Your technical expertise will help develop AI tools aimed at improving patient psychosocial health and enhancing clinician care. You'll also interact with students, research assistants, and physicians to ensure the effective coordination of various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop NLP pipelines using clinical data
• Assist in building scalable cloud infrastructure for AI models
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on clinical tool development
• Prepare scientific documentation, including manuscripts and grant proposals
• Coordinate student developers and liaise with other lab members
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
• Minimum one year of related experience
• Robust programming skills in Python
• Knowledge of NLP libraries like Hugging Face
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
