Principal Consultant, Payments Strategy 6-Month Contract 2 Openings Hybrid (Toronto) or Remote (Canada) Are you passionate about modernizing Canada''s payments ecosystem? Your work will include: Developing strategic roadmaps for payments infrastructure modernization Evaluating connectivity to Canadian payments infrastructure, including ACSS and the Real-Time Rail (RTR) Assessing regulatory, legal, operational, and technical requirements Producing executive-ready recommendations, presentations,
and strategic playbooks Creating high-level solution blueprints and architectural direction Supporting business case development, including high-level cost and benefit analysis Collaborating with internal experts across Technology, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations Your recommendations will directly influence executive decision-making and future investment strategy.
Qualifications We''re seeking hands-on consultants who enjoy doing the worknot managing large teams.
Ideal Experience 515 years of experience within the Canadian financial services industry Deep knowledge of the Canadian payments ecosystem Experience leading or supporting payments modernization or large-scale transformation initiatives Strong understanding of Canadian payments infrastructure Experience interpreting complex regulatory and policy requirements Ability to translate technical and business findings into executive-level recommendations Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Comfortable working independently in fast-paced, evolving environments Industry Experience We''re interested in professionals with hands-on payments experience from organizations such as: Canadian banks Fin
Tech companies Payment service providers Payments technology organizations Government or industry organizations supporting Canadian payments The most key qualification is direct experience working within the Canadian payments ecosystem.
