Become a vital part of community safety as the Emergency Program Coordinator with Columbia Shuswap Regional District in Salmon Arm, BC. Manage emergency management and response programs while engaging with the public and stakeholders.
This permanent full time role involves coordinating CSRD's emergency management initiatives through effective planning, training, and program development. You will work closely with the Manager of Protective Services, contributing to preparedness, recovery, and response activities. If you’re passionate about enhancing community safety and have relevant experience, this opportunity could be for you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate emergency management programs effectively
• Develop and implement emergency strategies and plans
• Support training and public education initiatives
• Engage stakeholders in emergency planning
• Serve in the Emergency Operations Centre as needed
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Emergency Management or related field
• Minimum four years’ relevant experience
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
• Certified in Occupational First Aid Level 1
• Availability for emergency incidents outside regular hours
