The Legislative Assembly Office (LAO) is seeking an individual to lead educational tours for K-12 students, public service employees, and more. As an Education Guide, you will utilize your solid interpersonal and presentation skills to deliver structured programs in both English and French. This role requires traveling across the venue and addressing diverse audiences with professionalism and a client-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct educational tours for various audience groups
• Deliver programs focusing on Alberta's political process
• Engage with students and visitors in French when required
• Maintain a professional, nonpartisan demeanor throughout
• Utilize problem-solving skills independently to manage tours
Requirements:
• High school diploma required
• Minimum one-year experience in public speaking or guiding
• Proficient in French for educational engagement
• Knowledge of Alberta's history and current events
• Flexibility to work irregular schedules from Monday to Friday
