Under the direction of teachers and professionals, the Education Assistant supports students with severe autism and mental health needs. You'll implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), assist with social communication development, and promote overall well-being. Working in both classroom and community settings, your role is vital for encouraging student inclusion and success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assist in planning social communication and life skills instruction
• Use and support specialized equipment for students




• Develop and apply behavior support strategies
• Document student behavior and progress thoroughly

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12
• Specialized training in behavior support and crisis intervention
• Minimum two years' experience with exceptional needs children
• Solid communication skills in the language of instruction
• Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
