Experienced CNC Machinist, Team Lead – Night Shift, Monday-Thursday (Full-Time)

Location: SE Calgary Industrial Area

Pay: $28–$32/hr depending on experience

We are partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing operation that has recently launched a high-volume production facility in Calgary. As the team continues to expand, they are looking to add Experienced CNC Machinists who bring a stronger level of technical ability, independence, and troubleshooting experience to the floor.

This is an excellent opportunity for machinists who are confident operating CNC lathes and/or mills, working with tight tolerances, supporting efficient production flow, and helping maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

If you're someone who can go beyond basic machine operation — someone who understands setups, offsets, tooling, and process flow — this could be a strong next step.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operate CNC lathes and/or mills in accordance with established safety and quality procedures
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, offset adjustments, and in-process troubleshooting as required
- Load and unload raw materials, verify correct materials, and support material tracking
- Conduct pre-use machine checks to identify tool wear, insert condition, and potential machine issues
- Monitor machining processes and intervene when parts fall out of specification
- Measure in-process and finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and machining requirements
- Deburr, mark, and prepare parts for the next production step
- Support cycle time improvement, consistency, and efficient machine utilization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and leadership teams to keep output and quality on track

Equipment & Work Environment

- Brand-new CNC equipment (Puma platform)
- Programs are pre-set,



with three primary part types
- Operators may begin on two machines, with progression depending on skill and shift requirements
- Large-scale, modern manufacturing facility with continued growth plans

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills:

- Strong experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to independently manage offsets, tooling changes, and in-process adjustments
- Confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and machining instructions
- Strong working knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection practices
- Ability to identify quality issues and respond appropriately during production
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs

Nice-to-Haves (Not Required):

- Formal machining certificate or apprenticeship (Red Seal not required)
- Experience in high-volume production machining
- Previous experience with machine setup and process optimization
- Experience running multiple machines simultaneously
- Oil & gas or precision component manufacturing experience

Shifts Available

- Evening Shift: Monday–Thursday
- Rotating 12-hour schedules

Compensation & Employment Details

- $28–$32/hr depending on experience
