Seasonal Christmas Lights Installer $20–$22.50+ per hour | September–December | Calgary Not Your Average Seasonal Job. Stella Lights is hiring for our 2026 Christmas lighting season. This isn’t warehouse work, and it definitely isn’t a desk job. You’ll be outside, working at heights, carrying ladders, installing Christmas lights on Calgary homes and businesses, and occasionally wondering why anyone voluntarily lives somewhere that gets this cold. For the right person, though, it’s a pretty great way to spend the fall. We’re looking for capable, reliable people who enjoy physical work, can think for themselves, and would rather spend the day outside doing something tangible than staring at the clock indoors. THE JOB You’ll work alongside experienced Stella crew members installing professional Christmas lighting displays across Calgary. That includes: • Working safely from ladders and rooftops • Installing and troubleshooting Christmas lighting • Carrying ladders, bins and equipment • Planning safe and efficient ways to tackle properties • Working outdoors in changing Calgary weather • Taking care around customers' homes and property • Learning Stella's installation and safety systems • Eventually running portions of jobs independently if you've got the ability No Christmas lighting experience is required. We can teach you how we install lights. We cannot teach you to show up on time, care about your work, use common sense, or have a good attitude when it's -15°C. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR You don't necessarily need to be a climber, roofer or tradesperson. But this job tends to suit people who: • Are comfortable with heights and ladders • Enjoy physical, outdoor work • Have good spatial awareness and common sense • Can work efficiently without becoming careless • Take safety seriously • Are dependable • Can communicate well with a small crew • Don't need someone standing over them all day • Want the opportunity to take on more responsibility as they improve Roofing, construction, landscaping,

window cleaning, tree work, climbing, skiing/snowboarding, athletics or other outdoor experience can all be practical, but none are mandatory. PAY & OPPORTUNITY Starting at $20–$22.50+ per hour depending on experience and ability. Bonus at the end of the season based on performance - ($250-500). This is seasonal work from approximately September through December. Strong team members can progress into installer and crew-lead positions with greater responsibility and earning potential. And December doesn't necessarily have to be goodbye. Our exterior-services season starts again in the spring. The right people may have the opportunity to return with Stella Windows for window cleaning and other exterior work from spring through summer, before Christmas lighting begins again in the fall. For someone who fits Stella well, a seasonal job can become a much longer path with us. Stella has been installing Christmas lights in Calgary since 2016. We're building crews that can operate professionally, take ownership of their work and grow into greater responsibility. If you're capable, we want to give you room to prove it. BEFORE YOU APPLY... We don't want 300 applications from people clicking every job on Kijiji. We'd rather hear from 20 people who actually think this job sounds interesting. So when you apply, answer this question: Why would YOU actually enjoy working outside in Calgary during the colder months? There isn't a correct answer. Maybe you ski all winter. Maybe you've worked construction outside. Maybe you hate being stuck indoors. Maybe you're simply slightly unhinged and think -15°C builds character. Whatever the reason, tell us. Applications without an answer WILL NOT be considered.
