The Equestrian Operations Support Staff position requires a reliability-driven individual with experience in equine care. You will ensure the wellbeing of our horses and maintain a safe environment at the Shirley Burr Equestrian Centre. Your role will also involve actively contributing to the Rider Development and Equine-Facilitated Wellness programs, making this a energetic and engaging position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care: feeding, watering, and stall cleaning
- Handle horses safely between various areas and programs
- Groom, tack, and prepare horses for activities
- Monitor horse health and assist with medications
- Support coaches with program delivery and clean-up
Requirements:
- Experience with equine environments; 30+ horses preferred
- Strong horse-handling skills and safety knowledge
- Understanding of equine health and behavior
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and legal entitlement to work in Canada
