WAGE RATE: $27.728 - $28.312 Reporting to the Manager of Brightshores Cancer Center, Oncology, and Dialysis, the Dialysis Assistant plays a key role in the Dialysis Unit by supporting the Interdisciplinary Team to provide quality patient care.

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

Required

- Previous Dialysis training and experience
- Ability to understand written and verbal job instruction
- Secondary School Diploma
- Knowledge of and proven application of aseptic technique
- Working knowledge of computers
- Functional ability to set up, prime, clean and move dialysis machines
- Ability to lift supplies and equipment up to 25lbs and assist with patient lifts/transfers




- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing computer applications (i.e. order entry)
- Ability to provide relief coverage
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records

Preferred

- Successful completion of a health-related college program
- Previous experience with supply management including inventory
- Previous computer application experience including order entry
