critical thinking and prioritization skillsWhat We Need:The Child and Youth Counsellor (CYC) will work in collaboration with the Child Psychiatrist and the Child and Adolescent team to deliver evidence-based clinical care in a hospital-based Day treatment setting. The Child and Youth Counsellor will be responsible for: group/program planning and facilitation; support to a Section 23classroom; treatment planning, implementation and monitoring; orientation of clients and families to the program; and, ongoing contact with family systems to enhance required treatment collaboration. The successful candidate must be practiced and proficient in the implementation and monitoring of SMART goals for individual clients and must possess superior crisis intervention and behaviour management skills while interacting with clients in a manner consistent with client treatment plans. The CYCs work in a multidisciplinary team which includes collaboration with Section 23 teachers, Social Workers and Psychiatrists. CYC's must be versatile and able to
