Lead engaging after-school programs for children at YMCA in Kelowna, BC as a Program Leader. Foster a nurturing setting while enhancing child development through various activities.
As part of the YMCA Child Care team, you will deliver quality after-school programming for ages 5-12 at Quigley Elementary. This on-site part-time position focuses on creating inclusive experiences and building strong relationships with children. Your role is pivotal in promoting healthy development and a love of learning among participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and lead engaging after-school activities for children.
• Ensure safety and appropriate supervision according to regulations.
• Establish positive connections with children and their families.




• Engage as a play partner and provide homework assistance.
• Support a variety of educational and physical activities.
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 19 years as per provincial requirements.
• Certification or training in child care or related fields.
• Proven experience interacting with children.
• Current First Aid Certificate with CPR Level B or C.
• Valid Class 4 Driver's Licence is an asset.
