Job Description

Hello! We are a friendly family in Victoria, British Columbia looking for a caring and responsible nanny to join our family. We are willing to pay $30.00 hourly and will negotiate rate for the right candidate. Our ideal candidate should have a warm and nurturing personality and be passionate about working with children. We are looking for someone who at a minimum can work 2-3 days per week but would consider up to 5 days per week for the right candidate. The days of the week for coverage we would be needing would be Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. I am a veterinarian and am looking to go back to work part time in the fall, once I know we have a valuable candidate lined up as a nanny. Ideally we would be looking for an individual who would live outside of the home, as our house is not huge. However, for the right candidate we would consider a live in nanny. We have 2 friendly dogs (Golden Retriever and Springer Spaniel)



and a cat who would not be the nanny’s primary responsibility but may be home some of the time that care is being provided so comfort with pets is a requirement. The main responsibilities of this role will be to provide attentive and loving care for our daughter who will be ~6 months old as of September 2025, including engaging them in educational and fun activities, preparing meals, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. We value someone who can effectively communicate with us about her routines and needs, and who is able to maintain a structured and organized environment. I had a nanny as a young child who became a part of our family for many years afterwards and would love for my daughter to have the same experience.
