Position Overview Service Recent Brunswick's

Provincial Health Application Services (PHAS)

is seeking an experienced

Application/Solution Architect

to augment the

eHealthNB Community and Connected Care technical support team .

The successful candidate will work across both

steady-state operational support and project-based initiatives , providing architecture, technical leadership, solution design, integration, development guidance, and optimization for complex provincial healthcare applications.

The role supports applications used by

Regional Health Authorities and the Department of Health , including highly complex healthcare systems requiring 24/7 operational support, enhancement, optimization, integration, and delivery of new technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Research, design and develop strategies, models and work plans to improve the

stability, resilience and fault tolerance

of the eHealthNB platform.

Provide

solution architecture direction and guidance , including technical design, development methodologies and procedures.

Provide technical advice to

executive management and stakeholders

to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Plan and forecast technology requirements for existing systems and upcoming development initiatives.

Provide solution architecture guidance to technical staff and consultants.

Develop, maintain and oversee

solution design and system configuration documentation .

Develop proof-of-concepts for proposed solutions and architectures.

Assist with the evolution of the

eHealth platform roadmap

from current to future state.

Develop

implementation, migration and integration strategies .

Design and implement integration solutions that meet business objectives while maintaining information integrity and following applicable standards and best practices.

Support both

development and production environments .

Monitor and optimize eHealth platform performance to support

high availability .

Work with business teams, project managers, application support teams, DBAs, vendors and development teams to successfully implement solutions.

Provide regular status updates to the Health Applications Manager.

Maintain technical documentation and participate in team scrums as required.

Provide after-hours/on-call support when required and approved.

Requirements Mandatory Requirements – MUST HAVE M1 – Education Required:

University degree in

Computer Science or a similar discipline

is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Minimum

20 years of Information Management / Information Technology experience .

M3 – 15+ Years as Senior Programmer/Analyst Required:

Minimum

15 years of experience specifically performing Senior Programmer/Analyst responsibilities .

not sufficient . The candidate's history should explicitly demonstrate Senior Programmer/Analyst-level roles and responsibilities for at least 15 years.

M4 – Excellent English Communication Required:

Excellent

verbal and written communication skills in English .

Candidate must be capable of communicating effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, management, vendors and project teams.

M5 – Immediate Availability / New Brunswick Required:

Candidate must be available to

start immediately in New Brunswick on the date specified in the SOW .

S3 – Rhapsody Integration Engine – 10+ Years Required:

10+ years of demonstrated experience working with Rhapsody Integration Engine(s).

Candidte should demonstrate hands-on experience with:

Rhapsody Integration Engine

Healthcare system integration

Interface development

Integration workflows

Data/message transformation

Healthcare interoperability

Production support and troubleshooting

The current SNB environment specifically includes a

Rhapsody Integration Engine





supporting the Provincial Integration Engine and EMR-related solutions.

S4 – Orion Health Platform – 9+ Years Required:

9+ years of demonstrated experience with the Orion Health Platform.

Relevant experience should specifically identify

Orion Health , rather than simply stating "EHR" or "healthcare systems."

Experience may include:

Orion Health Clinical Data Repository

Orion Health EHR solutions

Healthcare application integration

Clinical data

Architecture/design

Implementation and support

SNB's current portfolio includes Orion Health for the

Clinical Data Repository and EHR

and Orion Health's Rhapsody Integration Engine.

S5 – Microsoft SQL Server – 15+ Years Required:

15+ years of demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

Look for:

SQL Server database development

Database design

Queries/stored procedures

Data integration

Reporting

Performance optimization

Application/database integration

Production troubleshooting

The current portfolio includes SQL Server and custom work involving Oracle and SQL Server.

S6 – Java & JavaScript – 15+ Years Required:

15+ years of demonstrated experience with Java and JavaScript.

The candidate should clearly identify experience with

both technologies , preferably with specific projects/roles and dates.

Do not rely solely on a generic "programming languages" skills section.

S7 – EMPI / Initiate / InfoSphere – 9+ Years Required:

9+ years of demonstrated experience with Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI)

technologies, such as:

IBM Initiate

IBM InfoSphere

Relevant experience should demonstrate work involving:

Enterprise patient identity

Patient matching

Identity resolution

Master data

Client/patient registry

Healthcare data integration

for the Client Registry.

S8 – Oracle – 15+ Years Required:

15+ years of demonstrated experience with Oracle.

Candidate should demonstrate practical Oracle experience through specific projects/roles, such as:

Oracle database development

Database architecture

SQL/PLSQL

Data integration

Reporting/extracts

Performance optimization

Application/database integration

Production support

SNB's current environment includes Oracle for extracts, views, reports and SSIS, as well as custom Oracle work.

Ideal Candidate Profile The strongest candidate will be a

senior Application/Solution Architect or Senior Programmer/Analyst with 20+ years of IT experience , including

15+ years in Senior Programmer/Analyst roles , and extensive Canadian provincial healthcare experience.

The candidate should have a strong combination of:
