Creative Abilities Therapy Services is growing, and we are looking for anOccupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team inCalgary and surrounding areas .

This is anIndependent Contractor opportunity supporting children, youth, and families through individualized, family-centred services, including families receiving support throughFamily Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) .

Location: Calgary & Surrounding Areas

Population: Pediatric and neurodiverse children and youth

Your Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you may:

- Complete occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized recommendations and intervention plans
- Support sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, self-care, daily living skills, motor planning, and functional participation
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, caregiver education, and home or community-based strategies
- Collaborate with families, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Behavioural Consultants, Behavioural & Developmental Aides, and other team members
- Contribute to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and multidisciplinary service planning for FSCD Specialized Services when applicable
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies based on the child and family’s goals
- Complete clinical notes, reports, progress summaries, and other required documentation




- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with families and other professionals

Requirements

- Registered with theAlberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
- Current and valid ACOT Practice Permit
- Professional liability insurance
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Ability to maintain qualified documentation and confidentiality requirements
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team

Assets

- Experience supporting neurodiverse children and youth
- Experience with FSCD-funded services, including Specialized Services or Behavioural & Developmental Supports
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with sensory processing, regulation, feeding, fine motor, self-care, or functional participation goals
