Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our farm operation. This position is ideal for someone with basic bookkeeping or accounting experience who is looking for a flexible part time opportunity.

We are willing to train the right person. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of bookkeeping experience and be comfortable handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks independently. Farm accounting experience is an asset. Training will be provided on our farm-specific accounting procedures.

Responsibilities
Enter and organize invoices, bills, receipts, and other financial records
Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments when required
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Assist with GST/PST filings and other basic accounting tasks
Track farm expenses, supplies, feed, livestock-related costs, and inventory




Assist with payroll records and payroll processing as required
Help prepare basic monthly financial reports
Maintain organized digital and paper financial records
Answer phone calls and provide general administrative support
Assist with reviewing and organizing contracts and documents
Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as required

Skills
Basic bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
Positive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Valuable English communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
Reliable and able to maintain confidentiality
Comfortable working independently and asking questions when needed
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Experience with Sage 50 is an asset, but training can be provided

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
