Support special needs students as a Full time Educational Assistant with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. This role focuses on enriching student experiences through empathy and tailored educational support. As a permanent team member, you will assist in facilitating educational programs and interventions for special needs students.
Collaborating closely with teachers, you will implement individualized plans and help manage classroom dynamics. Your positive and proactive approach will help create an inclusive atmosphere for all students. Key Responsibilities:
Aid special needs students during their transition to school
Support the teaching staff with lesson and classroom support
Monitor and report on students’ academic and social progress
Participate in crisis intervention and behavior management
Assist with feeding, toileting, and personal care as needed Requirements:
Successful completion of an educational assistant program
Minimum one year of relevant experience
Empathetic and understanding attitude
Ability to keep information confidential
Willingness to perform physical tasks Contribute to a nurturing and supportive educational workplace for students at the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board.
