Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour

Hours of Work:
44 hours per week

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide daily companion care and personal assistance to an elderly individual within a private residence.
Administer personal care, including assistance with ambulation, bathing, dressing, undressing, and personal hygiene.
Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, balanced meals and specialized diets according to dietary constraints.
Perform routine health-related tasks, including monitoring and reminding the client to take prescribed oral medications.
Maintain a safe and clean living setting by completing light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, washing dishes, and making beds.
Accompany the client to scheduled medical appointments, community outings, and therapy sessions.

Employment Requirements:
Education:



Completion of secondary school (High school diploma or equivalent) is required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of qualified caregiving experience or completion of a related home support training program.
Language Requirements: Clear and functional oral and written English is the sole linguistic requirement. No other languages will be factored into candidate screening.
Certifications: Valid First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting employment).
Security: Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check is required upon hire.
