Join the Isaac Waldman Jewish Public Library as the Acting Head Librarian, managing a community library's services and programs during a leave. This role requires hands-on leadership in a vibrant setting. As the Acting Head Librarian, you will ensure daily library operations run smoothly while providing excellent patron service.
You will spearhead engaging programming, oversee a small team, and strengthen partnerships within the community. Candidates should have a depth of knowledge in library systems, superior organizational skills, and enthusiasm for community-focused initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the library’s daily functions and services
Develop creative programs tailored for all ages
Supervise, recruit,
and train library staff and volunteers
Collaborate with community partners on educational events
Coordinate fundraising and grant writing initiatives Requirements:
A Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent
Experience with library operations and outreach
Solid interpersonal skills and commitment to community service
Proficient in technology and library management software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Support community engagement and promote literacy resources as the Acting Head Librarian.
