Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team, focusing on industrial and institutional projects across the Lower Mainland. You will be involved in building, setting, and stripping forms, as well as layout and free forming. Current projects involve working with footings, columns, pillars, and anchor bolts.

Responsibilities

- Build, set, and strip forms for various projects.
- Perform layout and free forming tasks.
- Work on projects involving footings, columns, pillars, and anchor bolts.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Collaborate with team members on industrial and institutional projects.

Essential Skills

- 3+ years of experience in formwork.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or high-rise projects.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- Proficiency with belt and hand tools, including measuring tape, square, chalk line, and nail puller.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to perform civil and labour work when needed.
- Possession of a car.
- Willingness to travel to North Vancouver for a few months.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Red Seal certification.
- Training in BC Hydro safety.
- Fall protection and confined space certifications.

Work Environment





Projects are located throughout the Lower Mainland with frequent relocations. Current and upcoming projects include seismic upgrades of schools and industrial projects, with a focus on safety training. Work hours are from 7 am to 3 pm, with a 30-minute break at 11 am. Parking arrangements vary by project, and costs are typically covered.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Ridge, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job- related factors.
