Job Summary

The Hotel Front Desk & General Maintenance team member is the face of the Lacombe Motor Inn — greeting and checking in guests, handling reservations and enquiries, and keeping rooms, buildings and grounds clean, safe and in positive repair. Fluency in multiple languages and excellent communication skills are highly valued to serve our diverse clientele effectively.

Duties
Front Desk & Guest Services

▸ Check guests in and out; manage reservations & room assignments

▸ Answer phone, email and walk-in enquiries

▸ Process payments, receipts & daily cash reconciliation

▸ Resolve guest requests and complaints promptly & courteously

▸ Keep the front desk, lobby and common areas tidy and welcoming

▸ Housekeeping on room readiness & turnovers

▸ Pub clenliness and washroom upkeep

▸ Support pub operation as needed

General Maintenance & Repairs

▸ Minor fixes: doors, locks, hardware, furniture & fixtures

▸ Paint touch-ups, drywall patching & small installations

▸ Basic plumbing & electrical touch-ups (taps, drains, lights, outlets)

▸ Inspect rooms and common areas; report & log maintenance issues





▸ Coordinate outside contractors for larger repairs

Grounds & Seasonal Upkeep

▸ Lawn, walkway and parking-area upkeep

▸ Snow and ice removal for guest safety

▸ General property cleaning and rubbish removal

Requirements

▸ Front desk / customer-service experience (asset)

▸ Friendly, reliable and well organized

▸ Comfortable with computers, phones & booking software

▸ Basic repair & maintenance skills (minor plumbing, electrical, painting)

▸ Able to lift ~50 lbs and work indoors & outdoors

▸ Valid driver's licence & own vehicle

▸ Adaptable for shift work, weekends & on-call duty

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week
