Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager / Owner

Salary: Ranges from 4000 to 6000 monthly , based on experience and business growth

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tandoor and Curry Cook to join our Indian cuisine's culinary team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, especially in tandoor preparation (tandoori naans, meats, kebabs) and curry dishes (vegetarian and non-vegetarian). You will play a key role in maintaining the authenticity, flavor, and presentation of our dishes while ensuring kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including tandoori items (naan, roti, kebabs, etc.) and various curries (North/west Indian styles preferred).
Operate and maintain tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
Marinate meats and prepare spice blends according to restaurant recipes.
Maintain quality, portion control, and presentation for all dishes.
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.




Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation during busy hours.
Clean and maintain cooking stations and kitchen equipment.
Assist in menu development and special dishes when required.

Requirements:
Proven experience of 2+ years as a Tandoor Cook or Curry Chef in an Indian cuisine restaurant.
Knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking methods.
Ability to work in a quick-paced kitchen environment.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
Food handler’s certificate (preferred but not mandatory).
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
Must be able to speak Hindi / Punjabi.
