Reference-26-001:Intermediate Geotechnical Field Technician

We are seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Field Technician with hands-on experience in geotechnical inspection and construction materials testing.

Responsibilities
Perform soil compaction and density testing using a nuclear density gauge
Conduct concrete testing including slump, air, temperature and cylinder preparation
Perform footing/foundation and earthwork inspections
Conduct soil, aggregate and construction material sampling
Assist with borehole investigations, soil sampling and groundwater monitoring
Complete accurate daily field reports and test records
Communicate field results with engineers, project managers and contractors
Assist with laboratory testing as required
Travel to project sites throughout the GTA and occasionally other areas of Ontario
Occasional night and weekend work may be required





Qualifications
College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant field experience
CCIL Concrete Testing Certification required
Experience with concrete testing and nuclear density gauge testing
Valid Ontario G driver’s licence
Positive English communication and field reporting skills
Able to work independently in a construction-site setting
