About the Role
At Junxion, Senior Consultants are responsible for leading or supporting client projects across our integrated suite of services, supporting our clients’ work to lead their sectors. Candidates have 7+ years of experience, including expertise in social purpose, strategy and planning, impact measurement, sustainability, and/or related public disclosures and reporting.

We’re currently looking for a Senior Consultant to be based in Toronto, with experience supporting businesses to achieve the B Corp Certification—ideally through the new standards, and who has achieved the B Consultant certification (or is working towards it).

The job is full time, 37.5 hours a week. It is beginning as a cover for a parental leave, but may be extended if the right candidate fits our culture and contributes well to our clients’ success.

Key Working Relationships
In Canada, Junxion Senior Consultants report to the Consulting Director, working in collaboration with Junxion colleagues and associates in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada and London, UK. They also work directly with clients, prospects and partners, and engage with external contractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
Consulting Engagements

Manage client relationships and lead or deliver projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered to the agreed time scale, quality standards and budget

Keep colleagues and clients informed of developments and resolve issues as they arise, resulting in successful projects and leading to further work

Contribute to all stages of projects including kick-off meetings, research, strategy and delivery

Implement business, marketing and CSR strategies and programmes

Draft and edit sustainability/CSR reports, position papers, and other communications

Research relevant issues, and analyse, synthesise and present findings in papers and reports

Apply specialist knowledge to client work,



including one or more of sustainability strategy, reporting, impact measurement, branding, and marketing communications

Work closely with specialist consultants, designers and web developers to present project outputs in print or online

New Business Development

Develop new business opportunities with existing clients and new prospects that support

Junxion’s mission to help leaders build the success stories of the next economy

Write quality proposals and presentations to pitch for work from prospective clients

Conduct sector scans and benchmarking, gathering insights to inform proposals and presentations

Market Junxion to external audiences and contribute to our marketing plan

Propose, research and write articles for the Junxion website and newsletter

Represent Junxion at meetings, events and online, including social media.

Project Management

Working with Junxion’s Project Manager, design and plan projects, including preparing work breakdown structures, proposing how time and resources are allocated and managing relationships with specialist consultants, designers and web developers

Support planning week-to-week resource allocation of the staff and associates in the Vancouver and/or Toronto office across all projects

Other Responsibilities

Keep up-to-date with developments and trends in social innovation, social purpose in business, CSR and sustainability, social enterprise, and related communications norms and standards to inform and improve Junxion services and products

Support and promote existing Junxion services, products and tools, and contribute to developing new ones

Contribute to developing processes and systems that enhance how Junxion operates and delivers our work

Support and contribute to development of our values-aligned, anchored in our core values of generosity, courage, curiosity, and fun

Your Knowledge, Training and Qualifications

University degree (Masters preferred) with a focus on sustainability, CSR, business or marketing/communications

Understanding of CSR and/or sustainability issues and/or entrepreneurship and/or intrapreneurship and/or organizational structure and governance models and practices

Knowledge of the Global Reporting Initiative, B Corp and other impact measurement, corporate disclosure and reporting frameworks

Awareness and evidence of engagement on issues of social entrepreneurship, CSR, social justice and/or environmental sustainability

Your Experience

Minimum seven years working in a corporate or consulting firm / agency, social purpose / socially responsible business, NGO, or international development organisation

Experience managing consulting engagements, including client projects

Experience working with management in the corporate and / or social sectors

Experience designing and facilitating workshops and / or meetings

Experience writing for a range of audiences across a number of platforms

Experience conducting exploratory/investigative interviews

Project Management skills and experience are desirable assets

Your Particular Skills and Attributes

Can communicate confidently and deliver proposals and presentations or speak at public events

Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills

Excellent writing and editing skills, specifically the ability to produce clear, well-structured papers, reports and proposals for different audiences and to tight deadlines

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace suite and Keynote

Strong existing network and experience with CRMs an asset

Experience with Appreciative Inquiry or other social research methodologies an asset

Salaries for Junxion’s Senior Consultants range from CAD $85 – 125K, commensurate with experience and progressing based on a comprehensive assessment of values-aligned performance.
