## Field TechnicianApply: Sarnia - OFFICE: Full time: Posted 5 Days Ago: R-100189**Job Description:****Job Description****Key Responsibilities****Condition Monitoring & Data Collection*** Collect routine condition monitoring data in accordance with site schedules, including: + Basic vibration data collection + Temperature readings + Visual and basic mechanical inspections* Accurately record data using AVT‐approved tools, handheld devices, and software platforms.* Upload, validate, and quality‐check collected data in a timely manner to support analysis and reporting.* Flag abnormal conditions, obvious defects, or safety concerns to the AVT Site Owner or reliability engineers.**Lubrication & Asset Care*** Carry out routine lubrication tasks on rotating and reciprocating equipment, including: + Greasing and oil top‐ups + Oil changes + Filter, breather, and desiccant changes + Basic lubrication system checks* Follow site‐specific lubrication routes, frequencies, quantities, and cleanliness standards.* Collect oil samples where required, ensuring correct sampling methods are used.* Maintain good housekeeping around lubrication points and equipment.**Site & Customer Interface*** Work safely and professionally within operational industrial environments.* Represent AVT Reliability positively when embedded within customer sites.* Liaise daily with customer maintenance and operations personnel as required.* Ensure all work complies with customer procedures, site rules, and safety expectations.**Health, Safety & Quality*** Work in full compliance with AVT Reliability and customer **health, safety, and environmental (HSE)** requirements.* Follow permits, risk assessments, method statements, and safe work procedures at all times.* Report near misses, incidents,



and unsafe conditions promptly.* Support AVT’s quality management system and continuous improvement culture.**Reporting & Administration*** Complete all required job sheets, lubrication records, inspection checklists, and digital entries accurately and on time.* Maintain basic records of work completed, consumables used, and observations made.* Escalate issues that may impact asset reliability, safety, or service delivery.**Required Skills & Experience****Essential:*** Practical understanding of basic mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and fans.* Comfortable working independently on customer sites.* Strong awareness of industrial health and safety practices.* Positive written and verbal communication skills.**Desirable:*** Exposure to condition monitoring or reliability services (vibration, ultrasound, oil analysis).* Experience collecting or handling condition monitoring data.* Knowledge of lubrication best practices or contamination control.**Qualifications & Certifications****Essential:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Valid driving license.**Desirable:*** Mechanical or maintenance‐related trade qualification.* Basic condition monitoring or lubrication training (formal or in‐house).* Willingness to undertake further AVT‐provided training and certification.**Personal Attributes*** Methodical, organized, and detail‐oriented.* Safety‐conscious with a professional attitude on customer sites.* Dependable and able to work autonomously.* Customer‐focused with a positive, practical mindset.* Willing to learn and develop within a reliability engineering environment.**Working Conditions*** Primarily field‐based at customer facilities in and around the Sarnia area.* Work may involve exposure to industrial environments, rotating equipment, noise, heat, and heights.* Use of PPE is mandatory and provided as required.
