Senior Public Practice Accountant
Location: Kamloops, BC (100% Onsite)

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000

About the Opportunity
This position is designed for an ambitious CPA with 4–5 years of public practice experience looking to play a key role in expanding a boutique firm’s service capabilities. Reporting directly to the senior manager, you will lead compilation engagements, corporate tax filings, and help launch and execute the firm’s current Review Engagement service line. This role is perfect for a designated accountant seeking direct partner mentorship, greater autonomy, and the opportunity to help implement modern AI-driven bookkeeping and review workflows.

What You’ll Be Doing

Planning, executing, and finalizing Review Engagements and Compilation files (Notice to Reader)

Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns (T2) and personal tax returns (T1)

Identifying, testing, and implementing AI automation tools to streamline bookkeeping and compilation workflows

Partnering directly with business owners and entrepreneurs to deliver practical tax, financial, and operational advisory

Utilizing CCH iFirm, CaseWare,



and QuickBooks Online to maintain high-quality file standards

Reviewing file work prepared by junior staff and providing technical guidance

Qualifications

CPA Designation required (post-CFE)

4–5 years of progressive Canadian public practice experience, including hands-on Review Engagement exposure

Strong technical background in ASPE, compilations, T2 corporate tax, and T1 personal tax

Advanced proficiency with CaseWare, CCH iFirm, and QuickBooks Online

Genuine interest in leveraging technology, AI, and digital workflows to modernize accounting delivery
