Position Summary
As a Class 5A Driver, you will play a critical role in visiting client sites to safely collect, transport, and properly manage waste materials. We are seeking a dependable driver with a clean safety record who brings a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset to the job. In this role, you will represent our company on the front lines, delivering reliable service while upholding strict safety standards and operational protocols.

Key Accountabilities

Safely operate all assigned commercial equipment and ensures trucks and gear are properly loaded, inspected, and maintained.

Serves as a professional brand ambassador for GFL on client sites, building positive customer relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services.

Maintains clear, accurate driver logs to track hours of service, mileage, and hauled materials in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Actively participates in daily safety meetings, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Last Minute Risk Assessments (LMRAs) to maintain a zero-incident work environment.

Communicates clearly and effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and fellow team members to ensure smooth daily operations.





Perform other operational duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with Air Brakes and a clean Commercial Driving Abstract.

Operating vehicles with a manual transmission is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Excellent customer-facing skills with clear verbal and written communication.

Self-motivated, dependable, and calm under pressure in a fast-paced workplace.

Strong ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage time independently.

Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions; requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift 75+ lbs.
