About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Viticulturist to manage their vineyards in the picturesque region near Kimberley . This role involves the cultivation of grapevines, focusing on maximizing fruit quality and yield through sustainable viticultural practices. You will oversee all aspects of vineyard operations, from soil preparation and planting to canopy management and harvest. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to contribute to the growth and excellence of wine production in the Northern Cape .
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement vineyard management plans, including soil health, pest control, and disease management.
Oversee pruning, canopy management, irrigation, and fertilization strategies.
Monitor vine growth, fruit development, and quality throughout the growing season.
Manage vineyard staff, providing training and supervision for seasonal and full-time workers.
Plan and coordinate grape harvesting operations to ensure optimal fruit quality.




Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability standards in all vineyard activities.
Requirements Degree in Viticulture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in vineyard management.
In-depth knowledge of grapevine physiology, pests, diseases, and climate influences.
Experience with irrigation systems and water management for vineyards.
Strong leadership and communication skills for managing teams and collaborating with winemakers.
Proficiency in vineyard mapping and data analysis tools.
