Who We Look for: We are looking to hire qualified Xray technician for our client in (Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial hospital) Red Lake, ON area.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: Qualified Medical Radiation Technologist; Graduate of a recognized school of training
Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
Maintain active registry status by obtaining the required 25 hour CME credits each year
Previous experience an asset
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all routine and special procedure X-Rays, as requested by Medical Staff
Selects, positions and operates equipment as determined to be desirable for the examination(s) concerned; providing proper patient care
Provides Holter and Event Loop Recorder Monitoring
Assess the diagnostic quality of radiographic images and takes appropriate corrective action, as required. Records if a doctor is informed of pathology seen and if a STAT read has been requested




Knowledgeable of and consistently make use of valuable radiation protection methods and techniques. Ensures adequate protection for his/herself, for client, and his/her family, and for the public (ALARA principle)
Maintains X-ray and CR equipment in efficient operating condition, dealing with most minor breakdowns
Records any and all problems with equipment
Maintains cleanliness of assigned work area
Day-to-day operation of the department (i.e., appointments and related office procedures; including shredding confidential files, preparing CDs, stocking appointment forms, holter forms, fax forms, etc.)
Must actively participate in the departmental quality assurance program
Responsible for working on a rotational basis or as scheduled on call in evenings, weekends and holidays.
Performs other related duties as may be required by Administrator or his/her designate.
Have an understanding of CR and PACS systems.
Job Types: Seasonal for 9 weeks
Salary: $45.00 - $50 per hour
