MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for a Senior Engineer with expertise in Model Validation for Alberta's electricity sector. This hybrid role requires leading technical reviews and model validation processes.

In this full-time, permanent position, you'll be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of power-system models while mentoring a team of engineers. Your role will involve developing training, guidelines, and risk assessment protocols to ensure high standards are met in interconnection studies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead independent validations of power-system project models
• Review models for accuracy, consistency, and methodology
• Establish structured frameworks for model validation




• Coach engineers and deliver technical training
• Communicate technical implications to both technical and non-technical staff

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• APEGA registration or eligible for Professional Engineer
• 10+ years in the electric utility industry
• Proficient in PSS®E modeling
• Solid analytical and mentoring skills
