Lead the emergency planning efforts for the District of North Vancouver as a temporary Manager. This role focuses on business continuity and collaborative emergency management in a hybrid work setting.

As a key emergency management leader, you'll ensure compliance with the Emergency and Disaster Management Act while embedding robust emergency planning across all departments. Responsibilities include coordinating hazard assessments, developing response plans, spearheading community preparedness training, and managing recovery processes. You'll work closely with North Shore Emergency Management during emergencies and lead various training exercises.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee municipal emergency management operations and procedures
• Develop and maintain business continuity and emergency response plans




• Coordinate local hazard, risk and vulnerability assessments
• Provide advice to senior leadership during emergencies
• Manage training and public preparedness initiatives

Requirements:
• Degree in Emergency Management or related field
• Extensive experience in municipal emergency management
• Strong knowledge of emergency legislation and standards
• Leadership experience in emergency planning and response
• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license required
