Senior Data Governance Specialist - Collibra
Type: Full-Time / Permanent ( 4 days remote + 1 day onsite in Downtown Toronto )
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Governance Specialist with deep Collibra, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and Capital Markets experience.
This is a hands-on role focused on tracing critical data end to end from regulatory, risk, and finance reports back to the original point of origin , identifying Critical Data Elements (CDEs), evaluating data quality controls, and maintaining technical lineage in Collibra.
Work Remotely with 1 day onsite!
Trace data supply chains and lineage end to end from reporting outputs to point of origin.
Identify and define Critical Data Elements (CDEs) .
Reconstruct data transformations and resolve lineage gaps and conflicting sources.
Evaluate Data Quality controls , including control design and operating effectiveness.
Build and maintain technical lineage in Collibra .
Work hands-on with Collibra technical lineage, Harvester, Edge, workflows, validation, and REST APIs .
Partner with business, technology, risk, and governance stakeholders to remediate data issues.




Support automation and AI-assisted approaches to lineage and Data Governance.
8+ years in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Architecture, or Enterprise Data Management.
Deep hands-on Collibra experience, including technical lineage, Harvester, Edge configuration, workflows, and REST API integrations.
Proven experience tracing Data Lineage / Data Supply Chains to point of origin .
Experience identifying and defining Critical Data Elements (CDEs) .
Experience evaluating Data Quality control design and operating effectiveness .
Solid Capital Markets knowledge, including trade lifecycle, front-to-back flows, market/reference data, risk aggregation, and regulatory reporting.
Strong SQL skills and experience working in large, regulated financial institutions.
Python experience is valuable.
Nice to Have Databricks / Unity Catalog.
Python and data automation.
LLM, Generative AI, or Agentic AI development.
A senior, hands-on Data Governance / Data Lineage specialist who combines deep Collibra expertise with Capital Markets knowledge and can independently trace complex data flows across multiple systems rather than working within a single application boundary.
