Children's Ministry Leadership Oversee and coordinate children's ministry curriculum and programming across our three congregations.
Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate, biblically grounded teaching materials.
Recruit, train, schedule, and support children's ministry volunteers.
Teach and support Sunday School and midweek Kids Club programs.
Ensure children's ministry environments follow established child protection policies and safety requirements.
Collaborate with campus pastors and ministry leaders to develop consistent and effective children's ministry programs.
Church Administration & Operations Provide administrative support to the pastoral team and ministry leaders.
Coordinate volunteer scheduling, ministry calendars, and internal communications.
Maintain church records, documentation, and organizational systems.
Respond to general church inquiries through phone and email.
Assist with the preparation and coordination of weekly Sunday services, including presentations, announcements, and media.
Communications & Ministry Support Prepare and distribute weekly church newsletters, ministry updates, and event announcements.
Manage church communications through Mailchimp and other digital platforms.
Maintain and update church contact lists and communication databases.
Work collaboratively with staff and ministry leaders to ensure effective communication across our congregations.
Qualifications We are looking for someone who:
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for helping children grow in their faith.
Aligns with Freedom Church's mission, vision, and the theological beliefs of the Free Methodist Church in Canada.
Has previous experience in children's ministry, preferably two or more years.
Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Is comfortable using technology and digital communication platforms.
Enjoys working collaboratively with pastors, volunteers, and ministry teams.
Is dependable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and protected environment for children and families.
