Property Accountant Working within a team of property accountants, you will be responsible for the overall accounting functions for a real estate asset portfolio consisting of residential, retail, or office properties.
Main responsibilities include the following:
Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties including annual budgets, monthly financial reporting, variance analysis and operational reports
Budget review and analysis on property financial performance
Manage rental billings, tenant recoveries, and adjustments in accordance with lease agreements
Team lead on various projects
Prepare government remittances and other reports
Respond to inquiries from team members
Ad hoc projects

You should possess the following key skills and attributes:
Professional Accounting designation in process considered an asset
Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with above-average problem-solving skills
Likes to work as part of a team while independently managing their own responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
High level of competence with Microsoft Excel/Office and adept at learning new systems
Yardi Voyager and Real Estate experience is an asset
